It features a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and is a mobile powerhouse. Packed with 2 cameras, it’s capable of doing either 720p 3D video, or 1080p “2D” video. It’s not just the Scorpion’s processor which is impressive; it’s also expected to go to market with Android 2.3 pre-installed. It had previously been said the phone would launch with Android 2.2 but it seems unlikely HTC would release such a powerful phone on an older operating system.

The phone is likely to rival the recently announced LG Optimus 2X in a big way, so we will compare them as soon as we can get the two to play nice together.
LG’s Optimus 2X should just be the tip of the spear, as we’re expecting dual-core Android smartphones – no scratch that – Superphones – from Samsung, Motorola, HTC and LG. It’s shaping up to be quite the year. Save your pennies friends, you will not be able to resist the onslaught of phones more powerful than your Moms’ computer!
Dual core processors will make a huge difference and this is one of the biggest developments in mobile tech to date. It will make the phone more efficient, provide longer battery life, offer a more fluid experience, and allow the user to go crazy overclocking to their hearts content if they so desire.
